Our Team

Division of Alumni Relations (DAR) is USTC Alumni Foundation’s primary executive body. DAR is responsible for handling the organization’s operation together with the Division of Corporate Relations. The foundation’s public relation affairs are solely managed by DAR: DAR maintains a close relationship with all major USTC alumni associations and has local contact persons in over 100 places around the world.

DAR currently oversees five departments and regularly maintains about ten special project teams. The five departments are General Affairs, IT Support, Alumni & Public Relations, USTCAF Member Relations & Services and Human Resources & Project Management.In May 2016, Wang Ailun (President of DAR) initiated a new department to manage the foundation’s publicity affairs, and this new department is currently recruiting!

President

Ms. Wang, Ailun (Class 1119) received her B.S. in Polymer Science and Engineering at USTC in 2015. Her undergraduate advisor was Prof. Xiong Yujie. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at Boston College.

Ms. Wang joined the USTC Alumni Foundation in early 2015. Before that, she had collaborated with the foundation to organize several student events. Ms. Wang of one the six core founding members of the Division of Alumni Relations and acted as the Chief Vice President (i.e. First EVP) from April 2015 to April 2016. She was the organizer of the 2015 and 2016 USTC Fly Banquets(飞跃晚宴), 2015 Fly Beacon (飞跃指路),USTC Alumni Video Program and many other USTC alumni and student events.

Ms. Wang was appointed as the new President of Division of Alumni Relations and President of Division of Corporate Relations in April 2016.

Mr. Li, Jia (1100) received his B.S. degree in physics from School for the Gifted Young, USTC in 2011 with the highest honor – “Guo Moruo Scholarship”.

Mr. Li joined USTC Alumni Foundation in 2010 and was one the six core founding members of Division of Alumni Relations. In Nov. 2011, Mr. Li was elected to the board of the foundation and broke the record of the youngest director in the organization’s history. As director of the Department of IT support, Mr. Li acts as the “CTO” for the foundation and manages a team of about ten computer geeks.

Mr. Li is also the president of USTC-ZZYZ (Zhengzhou YiZhong, i.e., Zhengzhou No. 1 High School) Alumni Association, one of the most influential student groups at USTC. Mr. Li is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in physics at the University of Michigan.
